No — Let’s Get Prepped is designed to complement, not replace, your child’s Kindergarten experience. The program gently bridges the gap between Kindy and starting school, giving children a preview of classroom routines and expectations while remaining in a supportive, nurturing environment.
Our goal is for children to walk into their first day of Prep feeling confident, capable, and ready to learn.
-
We recommend attending one or two sessions per week for the full term. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to build skills progressively, allowing children to develop confidence, independence, and school readiness over time.
For the greatest benefit, many families choose to enrol for the full year, as each term builds upon the last to support a strong and successful start to school.
-
The fee for the full 10-week term is $750 (including GST).
-
To support a smooth transition into school, Let’s Get Prepped operates as a drop-and-go program. This encourages children to build independence, confidence, and familiarity with separating from their caregiver — an important skill for starting Prep.
If you feel your child may need additional support at drop-off, please let me know in advance. We can work together to put supportive strategies in place to ensure your child feels safe, settled, and ready to participate.
-
Confidence and school-ready behaviours develop over time — they can’t be rushed. Beginning earlier allows children to build skills gradually, feel comfortable in a learning environment, and approach their first day of Prep with confidence rather than overwhelm.
-
Yes — if places are available, children are welcome to join after the term has begun. We do recommend starting at the beginning of the term where possible, as our program is designed to build skills progressively each week. However, we are happy to support mid-term enrolments and help your child settle in with confidence. Please get in touch to check current availability.

Absolutely. Ongoing observations and personalised feedback ensure you feel informed and confident about your child’s progress and school readiness. We are always available after sessions for a quick chat, and you’ll receive a weekly learning snapshot highlighting what we’ve been learning, along with simple, practical ideas to continue the learning at home.
-
Yes — please pack a small fruit or vegetable snack along with a labelled water bottle. This helps children become familiar with the “sip and crunch” style break commonly used in classrooms and supports the development of independent eating routines.
-
Yes — children need to be toilet trained to attend sessions, as this supports their independence and helps them feel confident in a classroom-style environment.
